Amanda Womack spent her formative years in Texas, where all of her time in bars during this period happened to be seeing live music, not spirits related. Through seeking higher education and a new world of experience she moved to New York City the very day after her 21st birthday. After several stints around town she found herself in the unique position of working side by side with the illustrious LeNell Smothers at her Wine & Spirits Boutique, named accordingly, LeNell’s. During this time she completed studies at the Sommelier Society of America, Cocktails in the Country with Gary Regan, hit up the lawn at Kentucky Bourbon Fest, helped teach spirits classes with LeNell and learned an invaluable amount of spirits knowledge. While in NY she also bartended at the Bourgeois Pig and various neighborhood joints downtown. After 7 years in the Big Apple she was ready for a change, packed up her things and headedout to Seattle. While there, she bartended at the craft cocktail lounge Naga - creating original libations, hand carving ice and doing her small part in keeping the classics alive. She also served as a local brand ambassador for Plymouth Gin, teaching bartending staff across the city on Gin and all of its complexities.
Almost one year later she relocated to San Francisco for the superb position of manager at Cask Store, where she currently resides. She looks forward to guest bartending at Bourbon & Branch with her Cask counterpart Amy Murray, and continuing to share her spirits knowledge through educational courses with the Beverage Academy.
